CCHS Athletics Make Memories!

CCHS has been blessed with some outstanding athletes. This winter wrestling, girls' soccer and girls' basketball all qualified for CIF post season play. The wrestling team battled in one of the toughest divisions in CIF. At the beginning of the second day of competition, CCHS was in fifth place, but with four individual champions (Elijah Palacio @ 120, Johnny Knowles @ 145, Justin Thomas @ 160 and Jeremy Thomas @ 170) the Churchboyz came away with the CIF team title by one of the closest margins in history. CCHS finished with 214 points, Servite finished with 212.5. Elijah Palacio bumped up from 106 to 120 and earned the lower weight MVP title. Jeremy Thomas was selected the upper weight MVP winning five matches by fall. Eight Churchboyz qualify to compete at the CIF-SS Master's Meet at Citizen's Bank Arena in Ontario.

The girl' soccer team defeated Linfield Christian 6 - 0  in the first round of CIF. They face La Quinta of La Quinta (Palm Springs) in the second round on Tuesday, February 23 at 5:00 pm at Santa Ana Valley.
 
The girls' basketball team won their first round game 58 - 38 over San Jacinto Valley Academy, but lost in the second round to Flintridge Prep 66 - 15. The girls' had a great season overall and are graduating five seniors.
