SPIRITUAL LIFE

The spiritual aspect of the student’s education is our highest priority. We recognize that every one of our students is on a faith journey, and we want to give space for them to grow and mature in Christ. To help minister to our students and direct them toward Christ, we hold Chapels and Small Groups on Thursdays throughout the month. Chapels are designed to provide a corporate worship experience for the students while encouraging them toward a life built upon faith in Christ. Small Groups offer a more intimate time for students to connect with their peers and teachers. Small Groups allow for deeper relationships and friendships to develop in an environment where transparency and accountability encourage the group toward intimacy with God.

Along with Chapels and Small Groups, Fellowship Friday, a student-run club, is held. This club offers student-led worship and devotionals. Biblical literacy is also a top priority here at CCHS. Bible is a mandatory class from Freshman through Senior year, and additionally, there are numerous local to international mission trip opportunities.
CHAPEL

Weekly chapel services play a pivotal role in the spiritual and personal development of CCHS students. These gatherings provide a dedicated time for students to come together in worship, reflection, and community. Through chapel, students have the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God through prayer, music, and biblical teachings, fostering a sense of spiritual growth and renewal. It serves as a moment of pause amidst busy academic schedules, allowing students to realign their priorities and values according to Christian principles. Chapel also nurtures a sense of belonging and unity within the school community, strengthening bonds among students and faculty through shared faith experiences. Additionally, it encourages students to apply their faith practically in their daily lives, preparing them to be compassionate and ethical leaders in their future endeavors. Overall, weekly chapel services provide a sacred space where students can cultivate their faith, character, and relationships in alignment with Christian values.

SMALL GROUPS

Small groups play a crucial role in the spiritual formation of our CCHS students by providing a supportive and intimate setting where deep connections with peers and mentors can flourish. In these groups, students can openly discuss their faith, share personal struggles, and seek guidance in a safe environment. Through meaningful conversations, prayer, and studying Scripture together, small groups facilitate a deeper understanding of God's word and how it applies to their lives. They offer opportunities for accountability, encouragement, and mutual growth, fostering a sense of belonging and community among participants. Moreover, small groups empower students to develop leadership skills as they learn to listen, empathize, and support one another, equipping them to live out their faith authentically in their schools, families, and communities.

BIBLE CLASS

Daily Bible classes for CCHS are for fostering spiritual growth and moral grounding during a formative period of their lives. These classes provide a consistent opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of biblical teachings, moral principles, and personal faith. They offer a structured environment where students can explore timeless wisdom and ethical guidance that can help them navigate complex challenges they face both now and in the future. Beyond religious education, these classes encourage critical thinking, empathy, and a sense of community, promoting values that contribute to their overall development as responsible and compassionate individuals. By integrating biblical teachings into their daily lives, students can cultivate a strong foundation of values that shape their character and decision-making, preparing them to contribute positively to society. These classes operate as a rigorous academic setting for our students to explore their faith.
